Are you interested in exploring a new way of living?

There is something very special about the proposed Harmony Park housing development.  It is a new housing project that is by you, for you\; we call it ‘resident-led development’.  It is an opportunity for you to  participate in the design and construction of your future home so it is tailored to your budget and needs.  It is also special because you design it with your future neighbours, together creating something unique that is a more friendly, safe and sustainable place to live.

We are looking for 6 to 12 households of people who are interested in sustainable community living, at an affordable price.  We are proposing to do development differently.  This project cuts out the developer profit, and re-invests this into long term quality and sustainability, with additional cost savings.    This development will be co-designed with the future residents, so what is ultimately built depends on the needs and wants of these residents, particularly those that commit to this unique opportunity early on.   We are currently working on design concepts for three townhouses (3-bedroom) and eight apartments (2-bedroom).

Throughout the development journey residents are supported by a team of passionate & experienced professionals; including project management, planning, architectural design & sustainable community experts.

The proposed housing development will be based on a Co-operative organisational structure and will be shaped by the Co-operative values and principles (see our Blog for more information about Co-operatives).

An information evening about the Harmony Park Housing Co-operative will be held at the Singleton Community Hall on Sunday 18 November starting at 3:00-4:30pm. It is a free event, and all are welcome.  For more info and to rsvp, see https://harmonypark.coop.
